How to help in the home

How to support at home:

In Reception, children begin to bring home read, write, inc phonics books which they can read themselves to practice applying the phonics skills taught in school when appropriate. Please support your child to read these books at home as often as possible. Pleas record any reading at home in their reading record. It is very important for children to be exposed to high quality stories to develop their language and reading skills. We encourage all parents to read to their children daily to develop a love of reading.
